Crispy Potato Latkes



Crispy Potato Latkes


3 cups shredded potato (or frozen hash browns)

1 egg

1 Tbsp dried onion flakes

1 tsp salt

pepper to taste

butter for sauteing


Whisk egg, onions, salt, and pepper in a bowl and then add hash browns. Mix to combine.  Using a skillet over medium-high heat, coat pan with butter and drop large spoonfuls of hash brown mixture into skillet and press down with a spatula. Cook each until golden brown (4-5 min) and then flip over and repeat.  Serve warm.  These are also good garnished with sour cream.
